Ronan O’carroll
Ronan O’Carroll
Principal

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Ronan is passionate about helping every child in Malaysia master the English language—a mission that keeps him busy and inspired every day. When he’s not working with students, you’ll most likely find him outdoors, either jungle trekking or on the golf course (he claims he’s retired from football!). After more than twenty years of living in Malaysia, Ronan proudly calls himself “half Malaysian—the eating half."

His goal is to help every learner achieve their best and develop confidence along the way. Outside the classroom, Andrew is a big sports enthusiast—whether it’s football, golf, or even Formula 1. He’s also a true film buff who enjoys movies of every genre.

A true explorer, he’s also travelled to nearly every country in the EU. When he’s not teaching, Steve is probably looking after his three dogs.

Ryan Colyer
Ryan Colyer
English Teacher

Ryan comes from Winnipeg, Canada—a city where winter temperatures can drop as low as –40°C! Needless to say, he’s thrilled to be back in the warmth of Malaysia. From 2011 to 2013, he taught in Johor and Pahang, where he quickly fell in love with the people, the food, and of course, the sunshine. Ryan has also taught English in Japan and his home country of Canada.
